This can be signaled by too much hunger for food and should be controlled by taking measures that lower cholesterol level and blood pressure. An overweight person is more likely to have diabetes. Consequently, he needs to walk at least half an hour per day to reduce weight, by doing so, also reduces cholesterol and blood pressure levels. Moreover, walking is recommended since it promotes insulin sensitivity and burns extra calories.

Diabetes Symptoms

Symptoms of type 1 diabetes are often intense and come on very suddenly.

  • Type 1 diabetes is usually distinguished in childhood or early adolescence often in connection with an illness or injury.

  • Symptoms of ketoacidosis comprise of nausea and vomiting.

Symptoms of Type 2 diabetes are often faint and may be because of aging or obesity.
  • A person may have type 2 diabetes for many years without knowing it.
  • People with type 2 diabetes can develop hyperglycemic hyperosmolar nonketotic syndrome.
  • Type 2 diabetes can be precipitated by steroids and stress.
  • If not properly treated, type 2 diabetes can lead to complications like blindness, kidney failure, heart disease, and nerve damage.


Here's a list of what a diabetic should do:

1. Try to attain the lowest body weight as possible.
2. Reduce your carbohydrate consumption.
3. Choose a balanced diet with less carbohydrate for meal times.
4. Avoid the over intake of sugar, oil, dry fruits, egg, beef and goat meat in food.
5. Take a small amount of food (instead of large quantity) in many trips.
6. Eat green vegetables, oats, soybeans, legumes, yogurt, fish, eggs, and fiber-rich food.
7. Have a regular check up for blood sugar level.

Like any other condition, diabetes is definitely preventable by having a healthy lifestyle and through proper medication. Perhaps, it is time that sweet tooth is removed.
